At Player 1 Music School, our teaching approach follows a clear and engaging progression, tailored to different ages and stages of development. From joyful early childhood discovery to advanced musical expression and adult reconnection, our structured pathway supports students in growing confidence, creativity, and skill at every level.
Whether your child is just beginning their musical journey, preparing for auditions, or you’re an adult picking up where you left off — we meet each student where they’re at, with experienced teachers who genuinely care.
All students have the opportunity to perform in our annual concert, held on a real stage and mentored by our working musicians — a powerful way to bring their learning to life.
Shape a lifetime of connection with music
Ages 3-4
Shape a lifelong connection to music from the very beginning. In these early years, we build the foundations of musical understanding through natural play, movement, and joyful expression.
Classes are led by our nurturing early years specialists, Isabelle J and Issy S, and designed to inspire creativity and confidence in even our tiniest musicians.
Prepare for future instrumental study
Ages 5–7
A vibrant introduction to the world of music.
Students grow in confidence through rhythm games, group singing, and creative play in a social class setting.
These sessions prepare children for future instrument study by nurturing their inner musicality and love of expression while introducing them to music theory.
Focus on learning an instrument in depth.
Ages 7+
Now the real learning begins.
Students choose their first instrument and focus on foundational technique and musical skills.
We offer small group and private lessons in piano, ukulele, guitar, and vocals, with optional private tuition also available in drums.
Lessons are designed to be engaging, structured, and goal-oriented — with room for personal growth and creativity.
Teens and young adults: Take your music beyond the practice room.
From WAAPA and GATE preparation to songwriting, bands and more—this is where skills become expression and music becomes your voice.
