  • What are your business hours?

    Monday - Friday 3pm - 6:30pm

    Saturday - 9am - 2pm

    Sunday - Closed

  • How does billing work?

    We bill via direct debit every 4 weeks, based on the number of weekly lessons in that period. Payments are automated.

  • Can I get a full refund?

    We do not offer refunds for change of mind, nor once the term has commenced. 

    Refunds are only available in accordance with Australian Consumer Law in the instance of a major fault with our service. 


  • Do you have any school holiday programs?

    We host school holiday programs for all ages. More information and registriaton is available in the Customer Portal.

  • Do I need to own an instrument before starting lessons?

    Not necessarily! For beginners, we can guide you on what to buy or borrow one during class. Your teacher also has recommendations for affordable options. 

  • Can I try a lesson before committing?

    Yes! We offer trial lessons depending on availability. Just get in touch to arrange one.

  • Do you run all year?

    We run lessons weekly from late January until mid-December. We take a short break over Christmas and New Year.



  • What instruments do you teach?

    We offer classes and private tution in piano, guitar, ukulele, bass guitar, drums, and voice. We also offer kids foundation music classes, audition preparation, and songwriting.

  • What’s the difference between private and group lessons?

    Private tuition offers one-on-one focus, while group classes are social and fun, helping students learn through play and collaboration.

  • Can I choose my teacher?

    We do our best to match students with the right teacher for their personality, goals, and learning style.

  • How do I reschedule a lesson?

    All changes must be made through the Customer Portal or app to recieve a makeup token. 

    Notifications via phone or email will not be accepted.

    Please give as much notice as possible—make-up lessons are not guaranteed. 


    - To be eligible for a make-up token, at least 48 hours' notice must be given.

    - Make-up tokens are issued once per calendar month and expire 30 days after the original class date.

  • Are there any discounts available?

    Yes! We offer a 5% family discount for all lessons (excluding shared private lessons).

  • How do I enrol?

    You can easily book quickly through our website or contact us directly. Once you're set up in the Customer Portal, you can manage your schedule and payments easily through the portal or the app.

  • What qualifications do your teachers have?

    Our teachers are a mix of qualified educators and talented working musicians who bring real-world experience and a genuine love of teaching to every lesson. Whether they’ve studied music at a tertiary level or built their skills through years of live performance, each teacher is carefully selected for their ability to connect with students and make learning engaging, supportive, and fun.


    We regularly run professional development sessions focused on inclusive teaching practices, ensuring our team is equipped to support both neurotypical and neurodivergent learners. Every teacher at Player 1 holds a current Working With Children Check and has completed relevant police screening.
